Business Development

Partnering is an important part of Altair’s corporate strategy. In respiratory areas that involve more extensive phase III clinical development or require a large sales force (such as asthma, COPD and rhinitis) we intend to complete development and commercialization in collaboration with corporate partners.

For each of our projects the timing of our partnership will depend on the resources available to the company; and the scope of the ongoing development programs. Altair currently plan to take its lead product AIR645 into phase IIa clinical trials prior to partnering. Altair also plans to select additional pre-clinical targets for development with the 2’-MOE Gapmer antisense technology; either alone or with corporate partners.
